I want to know the differences between these 3 projector lenses for Leica Pradovit, i want to have perfect sharpness and optical performance to project Fujichrome Velvia 50 slide films in really best quality:

Leica Elmarit 2,8/150 P2

(Super) Colorplan 2,5/90 P2?

Colorplan 2,5/90 P2

Is the Super Colorplan 2,5/90 the onliest best Leica lens for projection or are there any alternatives which are in regard of sharpness and coating comparable?

I have the two Colorplans, usually I project my slides 30-40 times enlarged. It is difficult to see the difference among them. Even at these enlargements you see the difference only if you look from less than half a meter to very sharp transition from light to shades: the normal Colorplan has very thin colour fringes. I don't know the Elmarit, but for sure it requires about double distance to have same enlargements.

Fernando.

With the 150 mm lens you need a different projection distance. For watching the whole image, you will probably not see any difference in the three lenses. If you want to walk closer for inspection of your slides, performance differences may become important.
