It's just a difficult path for any innovative company (and engineers) to design the very best. (as a semi-retired design-engineer, I have sympathy, ..and some patience. Some of Leica's engineering choices are starting to make more sense. The "design flaws" that we are assuming to be made in error may be more intentional design decisions.
