Intel chip iMac?

Mine does this. I have to reboot to get it to work. I think it's down to a memory issue with the Rosetta system, which allows PPC software to run on the Intel chip.

I reboot, and have PS set to start at login.

It only takes a minute to reboot.

The ones which are called com.adobe or similar. Sort them alphabetically. There might be some com.photoshop ones too. A bit of investigation and you will see the ones which are relevant.

Create a new folder on your desktop and drag the adobe plist files into that (as a temporary store)

Then restart Photoshop. If this is the problem, it will recreate new plist files and should start up normally.

2.5gig is enough... ;)
