Advertisement Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Hi c6gowin, Take a look here Leica To Demonstrate S2 at Fotocare in NYC on July 13. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thrid Posted July 15, 2009 Share #22 Posted July 15, 2009 The more I see of the S2, the more I like it. I think what intrigues me more than anything is it's size. It really is smaller than a D3, but has that huge sensor. And it's sealed, which I don't think any other digital MF camera is. And the glass. If it performs in the real world as we expect it to, Leica will have something very special on their hands. I really don't have a need for one of these and would need a bigger piggy bank to buy one, but I can certainly see myself renting one on occasion... mgcd Posted July 15, 2009 Share #23 Posted July 15, 2009 You can still depress the shutter release halfway for AF/AE lock. The rear button was added as another option based on countless requests from photographers at Photokina. It also allows functions to be seperated so that you could shoot with the shutter release button, without having the camera refocus during a shooting sequence. David Thanks David and Mark for this info. Cheers

mitchell Posted July 20, 2009 Share #25 Posted July 20, 2009 A dedicated Autofocus button is very handy. It allows you to separate focus from metering, and focus from framing. I use the Focus button all the time on my N 700. Best, Mitchell
Josef Isayo Posted July 30, 2009 Share #26 Posted July 30, 2009 I'm surprised they are not doing the demo somewhere in Tuscany with the finest wine and cheese accompanied by a reporter and photographer from Robb Report Magazine.
