John Thawley Posted June 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 27, 2009 How is it wired? Leica? Panasonic? Olympus? If it helps, Thorsten (and I) are using an Olympus flash with a Canon off-camera chord with our Digilux 2. I can't imagine why the 3 would be a different. Riley Posted June 28, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 28, 2009 its Olympus TTL Jaap available flashes from Olympus, Panasonic, and Metz maybe you can use an existing Metz with another shoe ? they take Canon off camera cable if you still have one, theyre the same cable pinout situation, but the pins do different things. Do not attempt to use a Canon flash on it.
jaapv Posted June 28, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted June 28, 2009 Thanks:). I'm looking into a macro-flash setup. I will use it with a step-up ring and the canon 500D macro diopter.

jaapv Posted June 28, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted June 28, 2009 Thanks Riley. I know that one well. I have the generic one. The problem is the narrow throat. I need 77 mm and this little thing is 62 max. I could live with the rudimentary control. Right now I am trying to figure out the various Novoflex systems, but that is rather complicated. I probably do not need the Studio Macro blitz system, too powerful, but I cannot find any decent information on the Novoflex Macro blitz X-set III system.
