Knowing how many on this forum revere Henri Cartier-Bresson, I thought you might like to know that Mike Johnson, over at the The Online Photographer has posted a link to another blog Boogie Woogie Flu: Weegee Speaks! that has posted an HCB recording from the 50s when he discussed the Decisive Moment. A direct link the mp3 file is

I posted this same info over at "film" but I know a lot you guys never look there, so I hope the authorities will excuse the double-posting.

It's great to hear HCB from back in the time when he was younger and still doing photography. The later interviews (in various documentaries and on YouTube) are interesting too, but they just don't have the same immediacy as this one.

Thank you for posting this!

I enjoy always hearing a Cartier Bresson. He is my favourite photographer and every word he say is plenty of wisdom. If you study his photography and tecnique you'll improve your photography with a m camera very much. There are many interviews in youtube as well. When he was older, he was much more calm and his words became more deep and special.
