audidudi Posted June 15, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 15, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Shot last night in Superior, AZ with a DMC-G1 and a Leica D Vario-Elmarit lens. From what I understand, these corrals (built on a small piece of federal land on the outskirts of town) are shared by the community, which is surprising in these days of "me, me, me" and "mine, mine, mine." This photo also represents a minor milestone for me, as it's the first one in my "Superior after dark" project to feature a subject that has a pulse (although it does appear the horse is underfed a bit, as its ribs were showing)... Advertisement Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Hi audidudi, Take a look here Superior's community corrals.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Marquinius Posted June 15, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2009 Jeffrey, Another fine capture. About the horse: it somehow even adds to the emptiness of this town. Small thought: for a perfect capture, perhaps you could put some light on the horse, so it really freezes. OTH it would probably spoil the perfect light that's in the rest of the photo right now. stuny Posted June 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 15, 2009 Jeffrey - Excellent, and appropriate to go into the project. Interesting how the horse's ears are ghostly, due to movement I would guess.
