Advertisement Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Hi terence fairweather, Take a look here M8 To Solms. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JohnP1 Posted June 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2009 Terence I did just this a month ago. Nobody in the UK would insure a parcel for more than £2500. I was on the point of "taking a chance" when a colleague had to travel to Cologne. He posted it from there fully insured for €28. I'd love to know how you get on. The very best of luck to you. terence fairweather Posted June 12, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted June 12, 2009 Hi John, I have just looked on the DHL website and they have local pick up agents. In my case WH Smith bookstore. They supply a DHL box you then pay according to size.£24.75 Is what I calculate. 1-3 days. Regards. Terry.

marknorton Posted June 12, 2009 Share #6 Posted June 12, 2009 DHL is fine. They deliver to Solms out of a depot in Dillenburg which is fed from Frankfurt or Cologne. I sent two M8s and 5 lenses earlier this year, collected from me at 2pm, signed for in Solms before 10 the next morning. Uninsured, no problem. afineman Posted June 12, 2009 Share #7 Posted June 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am not sure what shipper to use but if it's under warranty you should ask Leica if they will pay for shipping or reimburse you.
