Quintilianus Posted June 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) So, I shot some satisfying photographs with my M8, have my DNG's stored and organised in folders on a hard drive, ready to process the ones that are worth the effort. I like to do a white balance and set black/white points in C1. Then, I want to use Aperture (with NIK's collection as plug-ins), so I should be able to send my files from C1 to a folder in Aperture, I suppose - I'd say as 16 bit TIFF. Is there any possibility to set up an 'Auto Import' folder in Aperture which I'll be able to choose as 'Output To' in C1? At the moment, it seems to me that because of the way the Aperture Library is (as a package file rather than a set of accessible folders), this can't be done. Am I overlooking something very simple? Does anyone know how to tackle this or can you give me any suggestions without having to change the whole workflow as I described? Many thanks in advance! Advertisement Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Hi Quintilianus, Take a look here M8 DNG file processing from C1 to Aperture?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted June 5, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2009 In C1, in the tab "process recipe" you can set Aperture as " open with" . Then if you click "process" in any tab that offers the button, the image will open automatically in Aperture. from Aperture you can obviously save it exactly the way you choose. Make sure that you set the parameters to TIFF, 16 bits and aRGB in the process recipe as well.
Quintilianus Posted June 6, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted June 6, 2009 Many thanks, Jaap! I obviously did overlook that Apple is easy to use. I shouldn't have thought so much about what's behind it... Silly me...
