Jeff Day Posted June 28, 2009 Share #43 Posted June 28, 2009 I saw your post and it gave me a big smile! I enjoy my Leica and high fidelity audio also. You can't beat film, vacuum tubes, and LPs! A little something for those who enjoy Leica and Hi-Fi: leben Best, Jeff
rob_x2004 Posted June 28, 2009 Share #44 Posted June 28, 2009 You'd have to order your Kodachrome from Dwayne's and send it there for processing just like everyone else. What's your point? Ouch. I thought you must have been able to get it over there. Forty five Aussie dollars for the first roll and twenty five for the next roll (and likely more) is a bit pricey for me. I'll have to stick to dreaming.:D

rob_x2004 Posted June 28, 2009 Share #46 Posted June 28, 2009 JBA, actually it gets worse, I left out delivery on supply fresh film stock. For me to use the the Dwaynes option 1st roll AU$61.03, 2nd roll AU $84.89, 3rd AU$108.79, 4th AU$132.68 PLUS whatever it costs me to send the exposed film to Dwaynes. These are also based on exchange rates not what the currency transactions will actually cost me so it gets worse again. Amittedly there is still the hunt round for eBay stock to save a dollar here and there but we are still looking at the same order of costs. I saw how many rolls you were chiselling through and figured your accountant probably thinks you have a coke habit.

If I were paying those outrageous prices, he undoubtedly would think that.
