Rolo Posted June 3, 2009 Share #4 Posted June 3, 2009 You mean Fuji, don't you? ,) He means no back-focus with Zeiss glass and Swedish body. :D Detail from head shot showing mother entertaining child whilst photographer at work. Hasselblad with digital back. Nuff said. Rolo
haribo Posted June 3, 2009 Share #5 Posted June 3, 2009 He means no back-focus with Zeiss glass and Swedish body. Rolo Now that remark is pretty dumb. No matter what glass you used in old days the lenses were probably all back/front-focusing. One simply didn't notice it with film. Period. Same applies to Leica glass. Hence the need for many to get their old lenses re-adjusted to work with the digital M8. What I mean is that after being sold several times the current company Hasselblad has not much left in common with the old/original one. To make it in the digital market they have to rely on everything Fuji. The only thing "Hasselblad" left on their cameras is the logo. Nuff said. My digital Hasselblad is a 203 FE, made in Sweden, with Zeiss glass, made in Denmark and a clip-on digital back that's still made in Denmark. In spite of the back being clip-on, the lenses don't back focus. Presume the engineering is good and the manufacturing top quality. As for the heritage, I think you'll find that Leica is owned by a perfume company, or has that changed ? Oh yes, it's owned by an Austrian financier. Your comment was just a cheap shot and inaccurate on every count. LOL

LOL Excuse me, what's wrong with you?!? Little sensitive here, aren't we? I did by no means make any cheap shots nor said anything inaccurate. All I said is that on the current model (H3DII) the only thing left "Hasselblad" is the logo. If you you have a problem with that, don't blame me. Blame Hasselblad. My eyes is not as good as my youth. I may misunderstand somethings. But Fuji lens is not that bad. Hasselblad Xpan lens made by Fuji is one of the best lens I think. HC lens is also design for digital era a bit too high contrast for film but match well to digital back. I don't think CF lens is good enough for the digital. kitty
