nealf Posted June 3, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2009 as it is a percussion lock not flint it is most likely a 19th century pistol. I'm assuming it is French, although I'm not familiar with French arms of this period it is similar to the American model 1842 pistol so I'd guess it is of that vintage. It is possible that it is a conversion of an earlier flintlock to percussion, but I can't tell from this side of the arm. Just FYI Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It is written on the pistol "Manufacture impériale de Tulle" Imperial means that it was or Napoleon the 1st or the 3rd. Both were emperors in the 19 th century.
