Does the M8 banding appear in prints ?

I wonder if the banding is an artifact displayed under 'some' display conditions. So can those with M8 banding confirm that the banding is visible in prints....please.

 

Last night I decided to test my D2 for banding. Interestingly the banding was immediately visible in both the EVF and LCD.

 

However after the images were captured and then displayed back onto the EVF and LCD, there was no banding at all.

Yup, The banding in that scenario is caused by the way the computer and chip talk. In the live preview mode the chip is being constantly 'polled' by the computer to create image. This polling causes interference down the line of pixels. However it is quick and doesn't require a lot of computing horsepower and results in a live preview that has smooth motion. When you take a picture the chip is scanned much slower and there is less interference. This requires more computing power but creates a higher quality signal.
