StS Posted July 21, 2011 Share #21 Posted July 21, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The argument about filter usage is as old as photography, one can suspect Daguerre and Nièpce already argued about it. Personally, I did some test pictures and couldn't see a difference. So filters are typically on, unless I want to take a "really" well resolved image. If I bother to use the tripod, I take the filter off. Just to feel better Steafn
Advertisement Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Hi StS, Take a look here Leica M Lens Filters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Keith (M) Posted July 22, 2011 Share #22 Posted July 22, 2011 When shooting film (M7) as I only use b&w, I have taken to leaving a yellow filter in-situ. Mind you, given the dreadfully dull summer(!) that we are experiencing in the UK, there are rarely any blue sky/fluffy white cloud scenarios to be enhanced.
