Voigtlander's 35/1.2 ASPH goes for $899US at B&H - I wonder what the 50/1.1 will go for?

I had a 35/1.2 ASPH and sold it off - I'm still kicking myself for that one. :(

The official US distributor (CameraQuest) is talking $1149 and is taking pre-orders/$100 deposits via paypal. Expected delivery is July. I suspect that it will be available world-wide about the same time.

From the pictures, the styling is very similar to the 35mm nokton. If the images prove to be good, I will opt for this instead of saving for several years to buy a Nocti. I don't think the extra 1/2 (?) stop will be worth nearly 10x the price.

$899US for the 35/1.2 vs. $1149US for the 50/1.1 - hmmm...

With prices like those, I may have to think about getting both! :D
