Hi Christophe,

I like this image. I suspect it woud make a much better hardcopy print than the screen reproduction. The highlights need a little lift, but I am sure that is only a feature of the web. Make a 12"x16" print and it will be superb.

Cheers,

Erl

Erl, John, Alex, Andy,

Thank you for your nice comments.

Erl, I realise that the image can be tweaked a bit more. Personally I am always a bit disappointed with the sharpness

of my scanned images. In "real life", they've got much more "bite".

Alex, The image sort of jumped at me. From a differrent vantage point I noticed the light, falling on the "smiley", and moved

in to choose lens and composition (Not much space to move on the "Wandelgang" up there on the "Alten Peter"). But it

confirms my view that the quality of light determines the quality of the final image to a large degree.

Andy, in my view the smoothness of the tones is, together with the slightly finer grain, the differentiating factor between Xtol

and D76. In my view this works particularly well with the FP-4.

Kind regards, C.
