S2 side-by-side with D3x and 645AFD

Unfortunately none of us "artistic" types could even begin to afford an S2. I'll continue to shoot film MF (and film bodies, lenses are cheap now) and even with film and processing and scanning for years not come close to paying off an S2 and normal lens (not to mention extra lenses). Plus my work will be on film (not a bad thing) and at true MF size.

 

But boy it is a beautiful camera. If only I didn't need a house over my head and my son a future education.... :o

You are very right!

 

Fortunately I have my house over my head but my kids are still in education, so I am a step further but not completely out of this game :D;)
