chris_tribble Posted May 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hmmm - I will be renewing my insurance policy and have been horrified by how much the replacement value has increased for the lenses I hold. I think this applies particularly to those of us in the UK who have had to deal with the weak pound, but it's worth checking as it reminds you: a) how much money you've spent on lenses and how badly out of pocket you'd be if they were lost / stolen and you hadn't insured for full replacement value (). The premium's going to hurt this year - but having experienced the loss of an M8 / 28 Asph and 75 lux last year, I reckon it's worth it. Sorry to spoil your weekend... Advertisement Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Hi chris_tribble, Take a look here Check replacement costs for your insurance. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted May 2, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2009 I agree, Chris, I've recently done this and had to insure my M8 as an M8.2 to cover the upgrade cost. My policy's like-for-like so at least it means I'd get an M8.2 if my M8 was pinched. Pete.
