stunsworth Posted April 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 30, 2009 … this device would cruelly beat many drives like Colorspace on the current market. Why would it? The max size of the iPhone/iPod Touch is only 16 gig. You can buy cards bigger than that. Of course the capacity may increase. How would you get images from the camera to the device? There's no practical interface other than wireless, and to use that you'd need to plug the card into a wireless enabled device such as a computer. So why not just store them there in the first place? JHAG Posted April 30, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted April 30, 2009 Well, Steve, Knowing Apple, this one would have a capacity of few hundreds gigs, and the screen is huge. I'm not so happy with Colorspace as a pic viewer on the go : screen is much too small. When I show pics on it, people can't see nothing properly. Besides, having a device where I could also store documents simplifies may things. And for the card reader, I don't mind having one of those USB plug readers. stunsworth Posted April 30, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2009 Besides, having a device where I could also store documents simplifies may things You can already do this. Search the Apple store for the "Air Sharing" app. I use it to store the latest M8 firmware and some PDFs on my iPhone. I hadn't realised the increased screen size on the shot above. Not sure I'd call it huge - unless that's a full sized keyboard <grin>, but I'd agree it's larger than the old model.
JHAG Posted April 30, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted April 30, 2009 Well, here the screen should be around 4,5" x 6,5" - huge for that capacity. I'll check Air Sharing.
