LUF Admin Posted April 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all earlier this week Wolfgang, Ronald, Jens and I visited the Leica site, in order to prove, if Leica is really still making film cameras (MP & M7) Here is a little preview I made from images taken by Jens. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/special_leica_mp_m7.php The full video will come in some days! Iansky Posted April 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 27, 2009 I second that - It will be nice, and reassuring to see them assembling the M8's by hand in their famous "clean" environment. Their manufacturing process has always been second to none and let's hope it stays that way - a little faster on delivery would be nice though! sdai Posted April 28, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 28, 2009 There's still a lot can be done to the film models ... I've never (not even slightly) cared about the quiet cloth shutter for example, if Leica could put the R9/M8 shutter into the MP or M7 and let me have 1/4000 or even 1/8000 then I'll buy another one. This would provide a lot of creative opportunities for using the newest f/1.4 lenses at ultra fast apertures in "good" light. Even 1/2000 would be much better ...
