Printmaker Posted April 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know bags have been discussed a few times before but I find myself having to transport my Leicas and a few lenses together with my laptop to a job site. My LowePro Omni pro/1450 Pelican is a bit big. Does anyone have any experience with the small Tenba Messenger Bag? Thanks in advance Tom

Thanks in advance Tom I have way too many bags for my big SLR stuff, but I bought one of these (small size Tenba Messenger) for use with a laptop and small SLR kit when I don't want to carry separate camera and computer bags (15" MacBook Pro fits perfectly). My bride liked it so much she bought a second one - we're both very happy with them and find all kinds of uses for them. I haven't used it with my rangefinder gear, as I generally take only one camera w/lens and one other lens and this bag would be overkill for that kit. Only guessing here, but I think it could be configured to handle two RF cameras w/ lenses plus maybe two/three more lenses pretty easily. I know that's not a clean answer for your situation, but maybe it'll help. Ron
fotografr Posted April 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2009 I've used Tenba bags for years--so many the models I have now are no longer listed--and I have found them to be very well made and practically designed.

My LowePro Omni pro/1450 Pelican is a bit big. Does anyone have any experience with the small Tenba Messenger Bag? Thanks in advance Tom I just bought the Tenba Medium Black Label Satchel. Easily holds my M8 w 50 'lux mounted, 4 other lenses (15 cv, 21 ASPH, 35 'lux, 75 'lux), and so far I like it. Looked at a lot of other bags for the M, this one was low key and the right size. The large is a little bigger, it would be OK too. I've had several Tenba bags over the past 30 years and they are very durable. Edit...I missed the part about wanting to take your laptop with you....the Satchel is too small for that. But I looked at the Messenger too and it's sharp.
