I have an MP that I love and I bought a Diana lomo camera just for the 120 format fun! I think the lomo camera teaches me the lomo way for my Leica! What do you think about it? Is it terrible to use my Leica as a fast-shooting lo-fi lomo camera?

Don't treat me badly, especially you, MP funs... I LOVE MY MP! I just want to experiment a little...

I think the OP is referring to the style of shooting which is very free and spontaneous rather than the grungy look the lomo cameras produce.

Leica in hand we can be too precious about perfect focus and framing before shooting using a hyperfocal position and just being free can be quite liberating. Arguably a Leica M is more suited to this style of working than a 120 film camera.

Chris, couldn't agree more. I often use a 28 or 35 set to the Hyperfocal distance for street work, this makes for a spontaneous shooting style , great in cities like NYC. Russell
