here is a link ....

CameraLeather.com Custom camera leather and leatherette

they did my hexar, and i very vaguely recall $80 for them to cover it (materials + labor) (can't confirm that .....my e-mail files got lost)

Morgan said that the D2 is too complex (doors and such) so they have to cover it for you.

John T would probably have that price (Morgan does great work but takes his time reading e-mails!).

How much does it cost to have a D2 customised like these?

If I recall, it's around $85 for the covering and maybe another $35 for labor. It does need to be done by Morgan because body is unique with small doors etc. Removing the original material from the doors does get a bit ugly.

Luigi straps run in the neighborhood of $80. Do not take these straps lightly. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and functional, though you want the one with adjustable length. Seriously, the comfort is amazing... they have just the right amount of elasticity and are nice and soft... like you've owned them forever.

Hello,

btw: I had always some problems about the low pressure point of the shutter release button. I'm a musician (classical guitar) ..... edited ....

Regards Peter

Peter, it is irrelevant to your post but it occurred to me that, as a musician, you must find the super quiet D2 a dream to use in concert rehearsals.

Your new camera covering looks super but would detract from my kind of candid photography. The camera would become the centre of attraction!

How much does it cost to have a D2 customised like these?

Terence,

I paid

$44 for the kid skin (D2)

$75 labor costs (D2)

$55 Global Express Mail (D2 and D3) to Germany.

Unfortunately the D3 isn't easy to recover. Morgan has warned me about it. So I have desist from this idea.

Regards Peter
