Advertisement Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Hi johnkuo, Take a look here The Three Amigos. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LADP Posted October 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2006 John, I like the first photo very much. The frame within the frame (the door) works well to draw the audience in. The door has nice texture, and the DOF adds to the mystery of what's inside. Finally, the contrast between your foreground subjects and the background combined with the DOF helps to make the men stand out. The 2nd photograph didn't work as well for me. Part of the probalem for me is that the foreground men aren't delineated from the background very well: the two black hats don't stand out against the dark background very well, and neither does much of the man on the left's suit. Finally, I'm not digging the composition on this one. The guys are centerpunched, and the remaining parts of the frame aren't balancing out to me. johnkuo Posted October 29, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 29, 2006 I agree the first one is a better shot. The second one I only had time to snap this shot before they left, and didn't really have time to think about composition. I added it to this post as an afterthought due to the title. Thanks for your comments.
pemayeux Posted October 29, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 29, 2006 I like #1 as well for it's exposure, sharpness and color rendition. Nice scan.
