Jeff Mungar Posted March 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up my D-Lux 4 today. I also bought the Leica leather case. I need to use the wrist strap on the camera to fit into this case and was surprised that the wrist strap attaches to the camera with such a thin thread. Have any of you had any issues with this thin thread? Is anyone else not totally secure with this portion of the wrist strap? thanks, Jeff

farnz Posted March 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2009 Welcome to the forum, Jeff, and congratulations on your new D-Lux 4! I've been using the D-Lux 4's 'shoelace' wrist strap for about 5 months now (ever since I bought the case) and I've had no problem with it. I've checked for wear and there's none visible so far. Before I put the wrist strap on the camera I did my normal Neanderthal Performance Test of grunting earnestly while trying as hard as I could to break it, but I couldn't. It won't last forever but I expect that a D-Lux 5 might have appeared by the time it does. Pete.
