Advertisement Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here Received LFI March 2009 yet?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
johnbuckley Posted April 2, 2009 Share #22 Posted April 2, 2009 Hi all, maybe you should not forget that (as it says in the Imprint as well) LFI is a magazine which appears 8 times a year. So issue No 3 is by no means to be the March issue. It’s just No 3 out of 8. It’s so easy. Cheers Okay, you are probably right that "3/2009" is to be viewed as the third issue of 2009. With most magazines, the "3/2009" issue comes out in ... the 3rd month of the year!
pnoid Posted April 2, 2009 Share #23 Posted April 2, 2009 it does state... 3/2009 March/April 2009 ...on the front cover so valid reason to assume that it could be available in March. [i buy mine from a shop as it's cheaper, per issue, than the annual subscription even with the 2 *free* back issues]
modschiedler Posted April 2, 2009 Share #24 Posted April 2, 2009 Okay, you are probably right that "3/2009" is to be viewed as the third issue of 2009. I am! With most magazines, the "3/2009" issue comes out in ... the 3rd month of the year! Guess when No 4 comes out. No idea? Go to p66
andybarton Posted April 2, 2009 Share #25 Posted April 2, 2009 Mine arrived today too. Rona|d's D-Lux 4 article was very interesting. However, I thought that the flash article was too long, and I can't say that this was one of the best editions I have ever read, to be frank.
koala54 Posted April 2, 2009 Share #26 Posted April 2, 2009 Does free subscription come with the purchase on an M8.2? I bought the M8.2 this Jan 2009 and have not seen anywhere I could apply for the free subscription. Thanks!
johnbuckley Posted April 2, 2009 Share #27 Posted April 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, thank Heavens. The US Postal Service seems to have come to the rescue, as mine just arrived.
marknorton Posted April 6, 2009 Share #28 Posted April 6, 2009 Huge improvement to the packaging for my issue - polythene shrink wrap and stout cardboard outer. No more broken spines... Well done LFI. Interestingly, posted from Switzerland.
marknorton Posted April 6, 2009 Share #29 Posted April 6, 2009 I live close to the US distributor and have often called about distribution problems, they have always been courteous... I'm sure your call really makes their day, Russell.
russell c. greenberg Posted April 8, 2009 Share #30 Posted April 8, 2009 I'm sure your call really makes their day, Russell. Mark, Maybe often is an incorrect description about my calling "frequency". I only call when my isue of LFI is about 3 to 4 weeks late (from date listed on previous issue) this does not happen very often. I wait at least 3 weeks before calling, but I have found out that it is the overseas delivery that delays the arrival of LFI here in the US. I have also noticed that you have replied to 2 of my posts, both replies were rather nasty in nature. I have read several of your posts, and have gained a wealth of knowledge from them (even though I don't fully understand some of the engineering and extremely technical descriptions). This is the only reason that I don't put you on my ignore list. I know that you are extremely intelligent and technically inclined, but this is no excuse for you to be nasty to those who don' t possess your "skill level" in technical matters. Russell P.S. I don't have anyone on my ignore list, You would have been the first (and possibly only) one.
marknorton Posted April 8, 2009 Share #31 Posted April 8, 2009 Russell, I'm sure I'm on quite a few people's ignore lists, you don't get to 6000+ posts without treading on someone's toes. I tell it as I see it which sometime ruffles feathers. Your remark about often calling the distributor brought to mind one of my customers (out of hundreds) who accounts for 10% of the calls to my helpline and the day doesn't feel complete until she's called. You know who you are, Chris. There could always come a time when I'm on everyone's ignore list which would be something of an achievement. I've never been banned from here, but I think I've come close... [he said, showing an uncharacteristic level of self-awareness].

pvsrv Posted September 8, 2009 Share #33 Posted September 8, 2009 I can't seem to locate any information on the distributor for LFI in the United States. Can anyone direct me to their web site, phone number, or mailing address? Thank you!
