jcraf Posted March 8, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an M6 Bruckner which is totally unused, and has only been periodically 'exercised' to keep everything moving. I recently agreed a deal to sell the camera, but when it came to doing the deal, me and the buyer noticed that the frame selector lever moves but actually does nothing, and no matter which lens is mounted, the 50/75 frame is the only one which comes up. I know it sounds odd (and embarrassing!!) but I had not checked this area of the camera, only the shutter, RF and meter. I am suspecting a lubrication issue here from lack of use and having a 50mm fitted all the time, rather than a breakage from use/abuse, but does anyone have experience of this fault and if so, it is an expensive fix. Or is it just a CLA? Difficult without a crystal ball, I know! The rangefinder, and all other aspects of the camera are fine. All thoughts gratefully received. johnbailey Posted March 8, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2009 I seem to recall that something is bonded/cemented together and eventually this fails with age. Should be fairly inexpensive to repair.
waileong Posted March 9, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 9, 2009 Its a simple lubrication repair. Simple as in it would take a skilled technician less than an hour.
