Never knew I could learn such a lot. just because of a RED DOT.

I have two spareparts somewhere round the house, and I could send you one if you supply me with your address.

But beware, I had to glew one on by myself and almost ruined my lens with

epoxy ...

When handling the lens, try to find the little groove which secures the position of the dot. This might work for the time being.

As I wrote somewhere: NEVER use epoxy glue or even worse, cyanoacrylate glue (i.e. Superglue). The dot will fall off again. Apply just a little too much and the finish of the lens will be damaged. Use contactglue: Pattex in Germany, Bisonkit in Holland,< I don't know about the rest of the world>, that works best. Leica will send a dot free of charge.

Jaapv, thanks for tip re glue, I assume the same applies to viewfinders and other plastc components.

I was going to email Leica dealer, but thanks K.G. Wolf for your kind offer, I have PMed you.

Cheers,

David
