Confusion Circle Posted March 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, it happened. I dropped my M6 titanium. It dropped to the floor as I switching hands between my DSLR and M6 during a wedding shoot - right in front of the bride! She was crying tears of joy, I was crying tears of another kind. The lens hood and the corner of the camera where the film counter is took the brunt of the impact, resulting in a badly bent hood and a dented top corner. My film counter is now not working either. Anyways, I phoned the local Leica supplier to inquire about the cost of a hood for a pre-ASPH titanium 35mm f1.4 and he told me $225! Ayiyiyi... Why is it so much? Are there any alternatives out there? Thanks in advance!

You don't have to buy a new one. There are lots of used ones at the usual places.
