peterb Posted October 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) F.W.I.W., there is a very POSITIVE review of the Panasonic LX2 in next month's Popular Photography. Which, I would imagine, could easily be extended to the D Lux 3 (with it's even hotter propietary Leitz firmware, of course). Of particular interest was Pop Photo's feeling that the Venus III engine handled noise rather well and that the detail provided by the Leitz glass was well preserved. Now there are two reviews. dpreview.com which said boooooooooooo and Pop Photo which now says Yeaaaaaaaaaa You decide. Regards, P

dNorm Posted October 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2006 Thanks for the heads-up. While I can't speak to the LX2, I do own and use the D-Lux 3. There have been some informal comparison of the two and the differences in firmware can be seen. I really enjoy mine and my vote is - Yeeeaaaa vs. booo. -Norm F.W.I.W., there is a very POSITIVE review of the Panasonic LX2 in next month's Popular Photography.
