Last year the uber.com website with photoblogs closed down as one of the first victims of the "financial crisis."

Since then I've wanted to re-post some of my articles on photography ... And finally got around to put the first one together again. Have a look and be patient for the rest in the series:

Oh, I must say I really enjoyed reading this article! It a first glance not that much on photography as on life, which I really liked. Yet, you gave us readers some food for thought later on when you catched up with what the title revealed this was going to be about in the first place (but which I forgot along the road). Lovely! In my world, you're feature writing skills are as good as your photographing skills, quite stunning. I can't wait until you post your other articles. :)

Thorsten, please continue with your articles and pictures. Every time I watch your pictures it makes me grab my "old" D2 again. It is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

I was wandering what makes your pictures so special. In fact there's nothing really exceptionally eye-catching, glamorous or so, they simply "look" very very natural as if they came straight out of the camera.

Merci beaucoup, Salsa

PS. Lovely kids you have!

Glad you enjoy it

My pictures pretty often are straight out of the camera and/or via very simple changes. And I would say if anything should characterize my way of working, it's "power of simplicity" (which by the way goes hand in hand with Digilux 2 and Leica in general).

One of the other articles about shooting might exemplify what I mean so I hope to get it online soon.
