Guest Bastian A. Posted February 12, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 12, 2009 I don't have my Sooky-M here at the moment (I'm still at work in my office ) and I would have to try it. Maybe the following link to the Rangefinder Forum could help you: SOOKY-M (SOMKY) Question(s) - Rangefinderforum.com B.

(it currently is not) You have to push in (sprind loaded) and lock it with 1/6 turn as in the lens mount. No m adapter mounted
luigi bertolotti Posted February 12, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 12, 2009 I suppose you have a collapsible Summicron (otherwise, same "movements", but done with the UOORF adapter, on which you screw in the fixed Summicron lenshead): the female bayonet receptacles of the SOOKY-M are spring-loaded: you have to position the male bayonets of the lens tube inside the above receptacles, then push a little the lens towards the body and at the same time turn it clockwise until (after 45° about) you feel it locks. That's all: more difficult to explain than doing: for my experience (I use regularly it with my fixed mount Summicron) is better to mount the lens with the SOOKY-M already mounted on the body: the only hassle is that the SOOKY-M's own helicoid tends to rotate while you make the push/turn movement, so better to keep SOOKY-M's focus knob at longest distance (left, seen from front) when you mount the lens (helicoid is stopped), and inverse - shortest distance - when you dismount the lens (same movement - push and rotate counterclockwise). Hope to have been of help... try and let us know.
