Advertisement Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi cheewai_m6, Take a look here remains of a train. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Michael Hiles Posted February 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2009 I like you picture, and I think it has more possibilities. At the risk of intruding, you could turn this into a more powerful picture. Eliminate the sky and everything except the subject, and shoot straight on to the principal plane of the wheel carriage. You decide how much to include, but use the geometry of the castings. It has the makings of a strong graphic image, rather than a contextual picture of railroad leftovers. In fact, there ay be many pictures here. Hope you are not put off - you invited comments so I thought...

I agree that there are other possibilities but I still think this is a very interest shot in its own right. I too might reduce the area of sky. But I still think it is an interesting and well taken subject as it is. LouisB
samwells Posted February 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 19, 2009 Agree with Louis...there's a great 'engineeering' heaviness to the image, accentuated by the downward-pointing triangle of the chassis frame. cheers: Sam
