M7 Question

I just received an M7 starter kit, and shot the first test roll, and loving it. Everything checks out except the +/- EV ring. It is so hard to turn, I cant use it (and yes, I'm pressing the release button while trying). The inner wheel to set ISO is fine. Am I missing something here? Any tricks, or do I need to send it in for repairs?

The exposure compensation moves smoothly on my M7 if the lock button is depressed. It sounds as though yours is in need of repair.

You have the option of manually fudging the ASA or using manual settings if this is not a good time to send in the camera.

Well, it's not the easiest exposure compensation dial to use, so don't sweat it. Better to turn the aperture ring for exposure compensation once you've locked the exposure.

Thanks, Just wanted to confirm there wasn't a trick. I don't often use EV control, just aperture, but this is a refurbished unit with a 1 year Leica warranty. So I guess once (if) the newness wears off, I'll send it in before it expires. Thanks guy's!
