andit Posted February 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2009 Hi Ken, Welcome to the forum. While I don't have a full TTL flash myself for the M8, I know that several forum members have had excellent results with Nikon Flash Units. These are TTL compliant and even show the flash ready symbol in the viewfinder. I'm using my old Canon Speedlight 540 in full manual mode. stunsworth Posted February 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2009 Ken, you may get a better response if you ask the same question in the M8 forum. I don't know the answer to your question I''m afraid, though I'd expect Metz to figure in some of the responses. My only flash unit is a small fixed head 'twinkle ' flash that came with a Konica Hexar I used to own.
TimF Posted February 7, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2009 Ken, you may get a better response if you ask the same question in the M8 forum. Or indeed if the thread title had given a clue! I agree with Steve though, try Metz. They recommend four models, of which the 54 MZ-4i Digital is the most likely (see under SCA Flash Units).
