The next shutter revision came with the change from 'black dial' to 'red dial' in the IIIf. Shutter running speeds did also change (they got faster) and damping mechanisms to prevent shutter bounce did also evolve. All in all plenty of opportunity for acoustic change. jc_braconi Posted February 6, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 6, 2009 The IIf do not have the slow speed mechanism and this lack of weight and mass do not absorb vibrations and sounds like on the IIIf.
