See the 'Any flashes TTL on M8 with SCA 3502' thread instead. I haven't found a published list of flash units that work TTL with the Leica M8. That is, Metz flash units mounting to SCA 3502, or stand-alone flash units besides the underpowered SF-24 and SF-20. My Metz 32MZ-3 with SCA 3501 doesn't work TTL with the M8 in A mode. What I would like is to set the M8 to A, turn on the flash (with flash set to TTL), and get fill underexposed by the factor I set on the flash. This is how the 32MZ-3 / SCA 3501 worked on my Leica M7. I loved working that way for events and parties. Which Metz SCA 3502-compatible flashes actually work TTL this way with the Leica M8? Maybe the better question is - do *any* flashes besides the SF-24 / SF-20 work this way on the M8?

A Sfeir Posted February 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2009 To my knowledge the only flashes that work with the SCA 3502 providing TTL are Metz 54-MZ-4i, and 76 MZ-5 Digital Abdal
lecycliste Posted May 9, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted May 9, 2014 Just discovered the Metz SCA 3502 M5 is designated for TTL flash with Leica M8. So I'll have to try one - fairly inexpensive here - Metz SCA 3502 Dedicated Module for Leica MZ 53502 B&H Photo
