Jim, If you type into your message what you want the link in your message to look like, say, "Lensmate for DL4", go to the webpage, highlight the whole address in the address bar, return to your message, drag your cursor across "Lensmate for DL4" to highlight it, and then click on the little icon with the globe and the chain in the message's menu bar, when you preview your message you'll see the link with the words you chose in red. miami91 Posted September 6, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2009 is there any difference between the lensmate adapter for d-lux 4 of lx3 ? i.e is there some other text printed on the adapter ? tia. michiel The D-Lux 4 lens adapter does have "D-Lux4" engraved on the barrel. I'm assuming the same is true of the LX3. Jeff. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! miami91 Posted September 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) thx jeff, are you satisfied with the product ? are there any disavantages: bulky and less light ? tia michiel Michiel, Very satisfied with it. It does add some bulk to the camera, but I find this advantageous, at least during use. It's nice to have some additional area for fingers or hand-holding. The only disadvantage, of course, is slightly more bulk when the camera is off and the lens retracted. But then again, this wasn't the most pocketable camera to begin with (compared to the C-Lux line, for example). Also, I use mine with an external VF and grip, which again makes it less pocketable. So for me, the trade-off of some additional size for the handling and lens protection was well worth it. I think the Lensmate is a very nicely made and attractive product, but you'll find many people think similarly about the other popular filter holders (Pandabase, Panasonic), and I'm not in position to compare/contrast, as I've only owned the Lensmate. bill Posted September 7, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 7, 2009 I think the Lensmate is a very nicely made and attractive product, but you'll find many people think similarly about the other popular filter holders (Pandabase, Panasonic), and I'm not in position to compare/contrast, as I've only owned the Lensmate. I have the Pandabase, and looking at the pictures above the only difference I can see is that the Pandabase is more flared/greater in diameter, taking a 52mm filter. This suits me because I have a) larger hands and 52mm filters lying about from previous lenses. Like Jeff, however, I am not in a position to judge beyond my own experience.
