Jim-St Posted November 18, 2015 Share #15662 Posted November 18, 2015 There is a secret route where it is possible to walk from the Uffizi (btw a very famous museum) to palazzo Pitto via the top floor of Ponte Vecchio. I once had the chance to walk through. It's just semantics, but I'd call the Uffizi a gallery . The Vasari Corridor is for a future visit, which I think might be next year - we had a great flat in Florence this year, just out of shot in the background of the shot I posted above, and with its front door right next to the Leica Store, so I think we'll be back there quite soon. To business: Toros of this posture are most commonly in Spain, I think: are we somewhere near the Pyrenees? Jim
a.j.z Posted November 18, 2015 Share #15663 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Hello Andreas, Could we be somewhere West of the Mississippi River in the USofA? Best Regards, Michael Not USA Did this bull once have an arch over it? I don't think so but I am not sure unless you do not mean an arch in the technical sense It's just semantics, but I'd call the Uffizi a gallery . war Posted November 18, 2015 Share #15664 Posted November 18, 2015 That barrier looks like it's built to keep formula 1 cars in their place.

I proposed to my wife in the gardens near the Piazzale Michangelo under the stars over an illuminated Florence... Ahh... You've got me reminiscing now...

albireo_double Posted November 19, 2015 Share #15668 Posted November 19, 2015 Looks like the new Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria - but that bull would have an arch above it, as stated by someone above...so it's probably elsewhere.
a.j.z Posted November 19, 2015 Share #15669 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Correct, the Red Bull Ring, a Formula 1 track in Austria. I checked, it now has an arch, but this photo is a few years old. I like it better without. Your turn albireo. Btw: I had though war meant Hannes Arch, the pilot, who actually flew above the bull in the Red Bull air race Edited November 19, 2015 by a.j.z

albireo_double Posted November 20, 2015 Share #15677 Posted November 20, 2015 It should be visible now....not that it detracts from its strength, in any way!! So, where are we?
Michael Geschlecht Posted November 20, 2015 Share #15678 Posted November 20, 2015 Hello Albireo, Do people ever play music near this Castle?Best Regards, Michael
albireo_double Posted November 20, 2015 Share #15679 Posted November 20, 2015 Hello Michael, Yes, some people probably play music near it. But I also have seen artisans, blacksmiths, knights on horses, archers, falconers and all sorts of other entertainers creating fun for visitors, especially the kids - even an executioner in a red hood, with a big axe...This place is dear to me, as my parents have their Summer house about 10km from it and I often rode my bicycle there and back when I was younger!
