yes ...... but where in the Troodos......... ?

 

you may meet a few gods on your visit ........ as well as UK military personnel..... and possibly skiers unless the winter has been very mild ..... and a view over Turkish occupied territory 20 miles to the north ..... and there is another in Greece of the same name ....

Yes .... the smaller of the 2 Greek Mt Olympuses .... but still nearly 2000m ..... with a handy road to the top....

 

The radar installation is manned by RAF personnel and keeps an eye on the rather uneasy truce between the Greek and Turkish parts.

 

This was february ...... no snow at all this year which is highly unusual .... and a lot of glum faces in the Ski Chalet cafe at the top ......

To an extent I agree that it was not easy to guess the location, but then every so often there's a more difficult one - which is what makes this thread fun!
