"Do you know the world ?" -- Competition --

Recommended Posts

Nocti Lux sent me a message with the correct answer, but has no photograph to follow up.

My suggestion is to leave it to Nocti Lux, whether he would like to announce the solution and appoint one of the others for follow up with a next photo, or to leave the game running as is.

Cheers

Lars

Thanks, Lars.

I would like to know where we are and whose statue we are looking at....

Good luck,

Jan

Frans,

You are 90% correct and I grant you the next puzzle....;)

However, before you proceed, I will give you the oportunity to be 100% correct - the statue in front of the Charles Bridge is not that of Jan Hus but, of the Czech King and Roman Emperor Karel IV (Charles IV).

So - we are not at Charles Bridge but where? This photo should give you a hint - what are these peaople looking at?

Good luck Frans,

Jan

Andreas,

I did not ask for a specific location and Frans got two correct answers - Prague and Jan Hus. That should be enough to qualify him as the winner of this round but, as a friendly challenge I am making it slightly more difficult for him by asking for the specific locale.

If he has been to Prague, he must have stood at this place, gazing upwards with his mouth open too...... :p They also serve a freshly rosted duck not too far from here - it is to die for!

Cheers,

Jan

They're probably watching the clock with all the characters and movement.

Thank you, Jan. Sorry I discovered this so late. But Stuart must have the right answer, it must be the famous astronomical clock. I suggest that you take over, Stuart.

Cheers.

Frans,

You have already been awarded the gold medal in my post 11995, I just gave you an extra challenge. And this extra challenge was for you only, you solved it and you're next. :D

So go ahead!

Jan

P.S. Come to think of it, I probably don't have any photos of the clock as I am always drawn to faces mesmerized by the apostels moving through the clock's windows....

I believe this to be the Kogetsudai Sand Mound at the Ginkaku-ji Temple....... In Japan, close to Kyoto..... :p

I hope I won't have to solve any extra challenges, Frans.....

Cheers,

Jan
