phototektour Posted July 19, 2012 Share #10421 Posted July 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Zitat von stuny The building makes me think of the ramps to aircraft gates in some European and South American cities, but I doubt it is at an airport. Perhaps it's in Amsterdam, and most likely northern Europe. Ramps and Europe are right √ No aircraft gates, no Amsterdam, though there is a river in the background. And there is a connection to NYC

phototektour Posted July 19, 2012 Share #10424 Posted July 19, 2012 This Architecture Office did some high quality buildings in Europe, but not only one in Mastricht or Rotterdam, though in Rotterdam was a exhibition. This one on the pic we are looking for is a very special one.

phototektour Posted July 20, 2012 Share #10434 Posted July 20, 2012 Hello Rainer, Would that connection to New York City have been around 75 years ago? Best Regards, Michael Hi Michael, hi larsv 75years ... ? No, I don´t know. As I mentioned and larsv already wrote, it is a Meier design. Richard Meier & Associates Archites is a NYC firm, working some kind like Corbusier. They did a lot buildings in Europe and also in Netherlands. But the building we are looking for is not in the Netherlands. Larsv asked about the Rhine and I said "Right country, wrong river.", that means Germany. The last hint was: Everything has to be done for a first time. So, his first building in ... another river and a big city. Maybe, it is for a non-architect not that easy, but I thought as an international projekt it would be better known. Bye Rainer
