doubice Posted August 7, 2010 Share #4917 Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) Isatay Taimanuly and Makhambet Utemisuly are Kazakh heroes so, I would say the statue is in Kazakhstan, possibly Alma-Ata (Almaty)? esquire53 Posted August 8, 2010 Share #4920 Posted August 8, 2010 Is it in Atyrau, Kazakhstan? In the suburb of Zhilgorodok?----------------- Frans Yes, Frans it is Atyrau, but not in a suburb. It is now the center of town and georaphically in Europe, close to the river Ural or Uralsk, to split the city into a European and Asian part. I'm not sure, if this is an official border, but there are signs on both sides of the bridge close by. Officially the park is just city park with the city monument. Frans, well done, over to you Cheers Uwe
