I took a look at hotels literally on the border of Italy and Switzerland and could find one: Hotel Italia Gran San Bernardo on the Italian side.  https://www.gransanbernardo.it/bar/?lang=en

The flooring design, chairs and ceiling lights match.  So maybe it is the one.

Yes these interiors are often the same style in whatever mountains, even in SouthAfrica I understand 😁. What I meant is a Swiss hotel a bit before the highest point of the pass: Hotel Bivouac Napoléon. But the most important thing is the pass itself, which you got fast. The Gran Bernardo is one of our preferred routes to Italy and this is a nice hotel for a hike and it has a good kitchen.
Over to you!

Ok, let’s try this one. (Sorry, the weather was terribly dull, sad, grey, etc.)

It is in Paris. The « Colonial Garden », or now « Tropical Agronomy Garden » is located at the end of the Bois de Vincennes and hosts some of the buildings of the 1907 Colonial Exhibition. It is the property of the city of Paris since 2003. More than a century of lack of maintenance, and you have a garden of ruins. I guess that the city have other financial priorities, and the former French Empire is no longer a glory, but a shame. But the city has invested in numerous panels warning the few visitors not to take ivy off the trees, because it does not harm the trees, is good for insects in winter, and so on: one have his own ideas of priorities, I guess…

More information if you google tropical agronomy garden. Nogent sur Marne has an page in english, but not the Mairie de Paris (another matter of priority, I guess 🙂).

If you go to Paris, do not hesitate to spend a couple of hours to visit, make better pictures than mine and discover a kind of spleen.

Your turn.
