So where was I here? What was it, is it now and in which city? I'll post a few, because my 24mm was not wide enough to get the whole idea

Watertower is right, but the Netherlands is not, did I suggest that? That it has another function now is also correct. This is a view from the top.

Assisted by a lengthy research ( I need to admit, assisted by the internet) I think I found out: It is the watertower Hamburg-Winterhude in the City Park. It is now used as an observation tower and a planetarium. Interestingly, the greens shown above are occasionally used as open air stage, e.g., for the Rolling Stones.

Good search Andreas! This is all correct, it is now a planetarium in the sense that it has a dome theatre where (mainly documentary and educational) movies are projected. The inside of the top of watertower shown above is not open to public but was shown to me and my family because my son had an important part in making a movie that was shown there about landing on Mars. From the balcony on the roof you can see the city, but this is not a public observation desk.

Over to you!

Well, Otto, let me submit another sacral building: Where is its location, what is the name, when was it built, when rebuilt and why?
