I am intrigued as to whether the figure of 8 of the plates has a meaning. I have found it now, Rothschilds. Waddesdon Mannor. Bucks. Now I see the full picture it is a ghastly place, worthy of Hollywood. And I thought bankers had better taste than industrialists...I visited the Krupp house in Essen and it was much nicer, but we know that they were not terribly nice people.

Yes ....... Waddesdon Manor comes as a bit of a shock when you see it sitting rather incongruously in the english countryside ...... and the interior lives up to the restrained style of the architecture (see below) .......

Some bits are nice though (the Red Anteroom with the Chardin for instance) and the gardens are rather fine.

Your turn again Enrique ......

I find it very difficult to say. The chimney pots are almost certainly Tudor, and I do not think they would have been copied later on, so I would say it is 16th or 17th C. The rest of the building is very sombre, almost looks castle-like.

I have not got a clue, but I will say south-east England.
