Dirk Van der Herten Posted January 27, 2012 Share #9548 Posted January 27, 2012 Outspan Hotel, one km. from Nyeri, Kenya.
philipus Posted January 27, 2012 Share #9549 Posted January 27, 2012 Well done Dirk. This is indeed the Outspan Hotel, established by Major Eric Sherbrooke Walker, who also established the famous Treetops Hotel not far from this location in the Aberdare national park. His friend, Lord Baden Powell, founder of the boy scout and girl guide movement built a cottage on the grounds in which he lived his last years until 1941. The cottage was named Paxtoo or Paxtu because his first house in England had been nicknamed Pax after having been bought on the WW I Armistice Day. Now, over to you. p
