vertekijker Posted December 28, 2010 Share #6503 Posted December 28, 2010 We are in South East Asia, but not in Thailand nor the Philippines.'Pulau' means 'island', in the language spoken in much of the area here. So, that was close, but what island? What 'pulau'. A famous Hollywood film was made here during the 50'. Which film was that, Olsen? ------------ Frans

gearoido Posted December 30, 2010 Share #6513 Posted December 30, 2010 There appears to be a vineyard in the distance. There also seems to be a sign announcing that fact, maybe. Could this be close to Anza Borrego? There are vinyards in that general area, although I don't remember seeing a mesa. GaryO

smgorsch Posted January 1, 2011 Share #6518 Posted January 1, 2011 Stafan, you got it. Do you know where in New Mexico, it is a rather large state after all!! So I would guess Eastern part of the state, off Old Route 40 perhaps. Does this qualify as a "hit" or do we need a named locale? stefan
Dirk Van der Herten Posted January 1, 2011 Share #6519 Posted January 1, 2011 Albuquerque Volcanoes, one of the Three Sisters?
msk2193 Posted January 1, 2011 Share #6520 Posted January 1, 2011 Stefan, Close enough for govenrment work. This is northeastern New Mexico along Route 87, a few miles west of the Capulin Volcano National Monument. This storm stuck with me driving from Denver all the way to Amarillo, spewing ice, snow, rain, and a few non-threatening tornadoes. A great view from a distance! Over to you!
