Welcome to the forum. A digital back unfortunately doesn't exist, and I fear if one existed, it would make it into the Maxilux size wise ;-)

But I would recommend putting some film into it and then have that film developed at some lab that can rather fast and economical deliver a disc with scans of the film along with the film development.

It goes without saying that that doesn't make it a digital camera. But it is a special camera that deserve to be used from time to time. For digital advantage (such as an endless stream of photos taken) I would recommend buying a new digital. D-Lux 4, Digilux 2 or some similar.

Welcome to the forum. I always loved the minilux and have been saying for several years now that a "real" Leica digital compact should be built along the same concept. Actually, a digital CM would be better, but I'd settle for a minilux. Use a fixed f2.0 or f2.8 lens at an equivalent 40mm FOV. Give it an APS-C or MFT sensor and I might just have to leave the MP at home. A miniliux traveled with me on two continents for several years and I was never left wanting "more" camera.
