the.ant Posted January 17, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was quite surprised to find that the "r"-lever on my m6 disappeared. The screw was still in the camera bag, must have loosened itself, but the lever is gone. I'm hesitant to send my camera to Solms for that, could anyone recommend a camera repair shop in Belgium that might be able to fix this for me? regards, tim
Advertisement Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Hi the.ant, Take a look here Camera Service in Belgium?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted January 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2009 If you've got the screw and it still fits (hasn't sheared or anything), I suggest you send an email to Customer Service and ask them to send you one; unlikely to be expensive and surely you'be be up to replacing it yourself, just use the correct size of screwdriver. GMB Posted January 18, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 18, 2009 Try ALPHA Phote in Brussels, Rue de Celtes. They may help or point you to a repair shoo. Another option is Campion, also in Brussels, as they have a large second hand store. Hope that works. Georg
vertekijker Posted January 18, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 18, 2009 The official distributor for Leica in Belgium is De Beukelaer. All my repair jobs have been sent to them by my dealer. I found them to be very reliable and trustworthy. jaapv Posted January 19, 2009 Share #8 Posted January 19, 2009 If you don't mind going outside Belgium (but staying inside the Benelux) I can fully recommend Will van Manen: index.html
the.ant Posted January 19, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted January 19, 2009 Hmm, I can't open that website, 'cause it has a silly browsercheck running, but thanks for the tip anyways. Thing is, travelling in Belgium is really cheap, travelling in the Netherlands is not... and I had since some extremely bad experiences with the Dutch railways I try to avoid them as much as possible. But I've ordered the part now through a local dealer. It will take longer than I like, but in the end the least hassle... I hope. And until I can get the film out of the M6, time to brush off the iiif again! regards, tim
jaapv Posted January 19, 2009 Share #10 Posted January 19, 2009 I would post the camera through the mail, rather than carrying it myself all the way:rolleyes:
